Nicole J.

Nicole has a love for all things oral health education and dentistry. Since receiving her dental training at Lake Land College in Mattoon, Illinois, she has been with the practice for three years. As a dental hygienist, she trains patients on proper oral hygiene, as well as taking radiographs, performing oral cancer screenings, and diagnosing common dental diseases. Her favorite thing about the practice is that Dr. Patel is committed to the patients and to providing state-of-the-art technology to all of the team. When she’s not working, Nicole enjoys spending her free time with her family and friends.

Kimberly S.

After falling into this career path and receiving her dental training on the job, Kimberly has been an avid dental assistant for 20 years, two of which have been at Cary Family Dentistry. Currently, Kimberly helps to assist Dr. Patel in any and all of his dental procedures. After two decades in the field, she still loves getting to be around positive people in a work environment that shares her passion for dentistry. Her favorite thing about the practice is that the whole team feels like a family, even the patients!

If she was not working in dentistry, Kimberly would love to be able to work with animals! When she’s not at the practice, she enjoys spending time with her family and her two children.

Lisa R.

Starting at a small family practice in Des Plaines due to interest in the field, Lisa has now been in dentistry for 20 years! She has been with Cary Family Dentistry for about 11 years working as a dental assistant. Currently, she assists Dr. Patel with lab work, patient education, and dental hygienist tasks, as well as office administrative tasks. She loves everything about her job and especially loves the family feel of the practice and the way that all of her team goes out of their way to help each other. As she nears the end of her dental career, she is excited to come to work and interact with patients daily.

If she did not work in dentistry, Lisa would still want to be actively working in the healthcare field. In her free time, she enjoys decorating, gardening, and painting. She enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, as well as going out to eat at Chili’s!

Susie V.

Susie has been working in various positions in dentistry since the age of 14, and has now been in the dental field for over 30 years! Susie chose the dental field as all of her older sisters have dental careers and inspired her to try dentistry. She started at Cary Family Dentistry in 2016 and is the office manager for the practice. Her favorite part of her job is when she gets to “witness a patient achieve a smile they thought was only possible in their dreams.” For Susie, the best part of Cary Family Dentistry is that they are patient-centric and technologically advanced with a phenomenal culture and patient care standard.

If she did not work as an office manager, she would love to work as a mentor and consulting coach for other dental offices. In her free time, she loved spending time with her husband and five children, as well as having picnics, barbecues, movie nights, family gatherings, and vacations. Her favorite local restaurant is Blessed Little Kitchen, where she loves their food and culture.

Chaceli C.

Chaceli found her love for the dentistry field after a visit with her own dentist years ago! She has now been in the field for 15 years and has been a receptionist at Cary Family Dentistry for 4 years. As the receptionist, she is responsible for verifying insurance benefits, collecting payments, answering the phones, booking appointments, and checking in patients. She loves the relationships she has built with her boss and coworkers at Cary Family Dentistry. Chaceli likes that her practice has a patient-centric focus that truly meets each patient’s individual goals and needs.

If she did not work in dentistry, Chaceli would love a job that involves travel– one of her favorite things! When she is not at work, she enjoys going to sporting events, trying out new local restaurants, and spending time with her son. Currently, her favorite local restaurant is Las Cazuelitas, which has authentic Mexican food.

Emily P.

After serving on a dental care team that traveled to Honduras, Emily knew her passion was dentistry! Emily worked as a dental assistant for six years prior to receiving her dental hygienist training at Rock Valley College in Rockford, Illinois. She has been with the practice as a dental hygienist for 10 years, giving her over 16 years of experience in the field. In addition to patient education and care, she also assists in training the clinical team and managing the practice’s dental hygiene inventory. She loves getting to truly know her patients and their families and getting to build lasting relationships with them while also helping them achieve their dental goals. Emily also holds an Associate Fellowship Certification for the use of soft tissue lasers in dentistry and works part-time as a Clinical Instructor at Rock Valley College.

In her free time, Emily enjoys spending time with her nieces and nephews, serving at her church, reading, and being outdoors. She also loves to give back to the local community by donating blood every other month and teaching middle school Sunday school each week at her church.

Rosie M.

After shadowing a family friend who was a dental hygienist, Rosie knew a career in dental was for her! Rosie received her dental training from McHenry County College and College of Lake County while experiencing the dental field as an assistant in college. She has been with the practice as a dental hygienist for over twelve years. In addition to providing dental hygiene care and education, Rosie loves getting to build relationships with patients. She loves coming to work daily in an environment full of leadership, generosity, and professionalism.

If she did not work in the dental field, Rosie would love to be a Spanish interpreter. In her free time, she loves to take her kids to their sporting events, go camping, and travel with her family. As a powerlifter for over 10 years, she also loves to find any way to be active through workouts or outdoor activities. On her days off she also volunteers at her children’s school. Her favorite local restaurant for food and cocktails is Montarra.
